That email address is our single point of contact for users, for abuse reports, and for authorities. We answer in English and Finnish.

What privsend is

privsend lets you send a secret that is encrypted in your browser and destroyed the first time it is read. A secret can be a message, files, or both — up to 10 files, 25 MB in total. We only ever receive ciphertext. We cannot read your secrets, and we cannot recover them. The decryption key never reaches us: it travels only in the part of the link after the “#”, which browsers do not send to servers.

privsend is not storage and not a backup. Every secret is destroyed when it is read, or when it expires — whichever comes first. Attached files are destroyed within 30 minutes of the read; our privacy notice explains why that short window exists. Never make privsend the only copy of anything.

privsend does not deliver anything

We ask for no names, no phone numbers and no email addresses — not from senders, and not from recipients. There are no accounts.

We also do not send anything to anyone. We hand the link to you, and you pass it on through a channel of your own choosing — email, chat, phone, in person. We never learn who the recipient is and we hold no address of any kind for anybody. privsend is not a messaging service. It stores an encrypted secret until whoever holds the link opens it.

How you may not use privsend

You must not use privsend for:

You must be at least 16 years old to use privsend.

Reporting a link, and takedown

Because content is encrypted before it reaches us, we cannot inspect it, and we cannot moderate proactively. We can only act on the link.

If you believe a link is being misused, report it. You do not need to prove anything, and reporting a link does not disclose its contents to us — your browser strips the decryption key before the report is sent. We review reports and destroy links that breach these terms. You may also write to support@zumitomi.fi.

If your secret is removed

If we remove a secret you created, your status link will say so. Because we hold no account and no address for you, that receipt is the only way we can reach you — so we use it, rather than letting the link quietly go dead. If you believe a removal was a mistake, contact support@zumitomi.fi and we will look at it again.

No warranty, and the limits of our liability

privsend is provided as-is and free of charge, without warranty of any kind. We do not promise it will be available, uninterrupted, or free of faults.

A secret that has been read, has expired, or has been taken down is destroyed permanently and cannot be recovered by anyone, including us. We are not liable for a secret that is lost this way, nor for one that becomes undecryptable because a link or passphrase was mistyped, lost, or never saved.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury, or any rights you have under mandatory Finnish or EU consumer law.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top always shows the current version, and material changes will be noted on this page. Continuing to use privsend after a change means you accept it.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Finnish law. If you are a consumer, this does not deprive you of the protection of the mandatory law of the country where you live, and you may bring proceedings in your own country's courts. Consumers in Finland may also contact the Consumer Advisory Service.

Privacy

See our privacy notice for what we process, why, and for how long. In short: no accounts, no tracking, no analytics, and no web server access logs at all.
